Hemodialysis

Hemodialysis is a way to treat advanced kidney failure that helps you live an active life despite kidney failure.
A procedure is performed with a monitor that passes the blood through a biocompatible artificial filter, in which the blood is cleansed of harmful toxins and deficient substances are recovered, partially replacing the function of the kidneys.

He has been practicing medicine for more than 30 years. He began his experience in the nephrology branch in 1989 at the Dr. Salvador B. Gautier, obtaining the Honor Diploma of Distinguished Resident and participated in the rotation in the Department of Nephrology of the Specialities Hospital Medical Center “La Raza”, Mexico, Distrito Federal.

Academic of the Pedro Henríquez Ureña National University (UNPHU). He taught dissection, pharmacology practice, clinical semiology and nephrology both in English and Spanish. In addition, he served as a nephrology internship professor for the Dominican Technological Institute (INTEC) and the Pedro Henríquez Ureña National University (UNPHU).

He also served as general secretary and later as president of the Dominican Society of Nephrology (SODONEF), in the period 2006-2010. He has held leadership roles as chief physician of nephrology in renowned medical centers in the country.
