He is an internist with a specialization in business administration. His professional career has focused on hospital management as a driver of innovation and changes in healthcare delivery models, promoting the adoption of new technologies that enhance accessibility, universality, and sustainability in the health system.

In recent years, he has dedicated himself to collaborative innovation and designing strategies for the transformation of existing health systems. Additionally, he has provided health management consulting for Latin America and the Middle East.

In his pursuit of innovative, value-driven solutions for the healthcare sector, he led and founded The H.I.V.E, an applied innovation center at the Austral University Hospital, where he also served as the Director of Innovation and Change Management.

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences at Austral University and completed his internal medicine residency at the Austral University Hospital. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from IAE Business School.

Maril Núñez Del Risco

Director of Human Management and Transformation

She has held executive positions in the areas of Marketing, Distribution Channels, Customer Service, and Human Resources at various multinational companies.

She has experience as a Business Consultant and Executive Coach for both global and local companies. She holds a degree in Advertising from the Universidad APEC and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Northeastern University (Magna Cum Laude). She also has Master’s degrees in Service Management & Innovation from the Rochester Institute of Technology and in Marketing from INTEC.

Rosana Bastidas

Director of Finance and Administration

She has extensive experience working in highly corporate institutions, focusing on strategic planning and management reporting, demonstrating the ability to streamline operations and being part of the executive committee.

She holds a degree in Finance from the National School of Public Administration and Finance (ENAHP). She has an Executive Master’s in Business Administration from Barna Management School in Santo Domingo. She has also studied Economics at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV).

Gricely Pozo

Medical Director

Gricely María Pozo Rosa is the Administrative Director of Medical Services at the Medical Center for Diabetes, Obesity, and Specialties (CEMDOE). She studied Medicine at the Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago (UTESA).

In the Dominican Republic and abroad, she has trained to strengthen her knowledge in her field. She completed a Master’s in Hospital Management in Madrid, Spain, a Master’s in Modern Health Management at the Universidad Católica de Santo Domingo, and a Master’s in Critical Illness and Emergencies at the University of Barcelona.

She has gained extensive experience in the healthcare sector through her work at ProMed Dominicana, Sensa Healthcare, the Engombe Municipal Hospital, and the Dr. Jacinto Mañón Municipal Hospital. She has also worked at the General Hospital of the Plaza de la Salud, the Advanced Medicine and Telemedicine Diagnostic Center (CEDIMAT), the Dr. Reynaldo Almánzar Maternal Hospital, and the Abreu Clinic.

Since 2010, she has been an instructor for the Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support programs of the American Heart Association at the Universidad Iberoamericana (Unibe). She is also a professor of Critical Medicine and Emergencies and Social Medicine at UTESA.

Willen Cabrera

Director of Nursing

Willen Cabrera is an expert in implementing and managing quality and patient safety programs, with more than 15 years of experience leading teams in health institutions. He joined our team after being Head of Quality and Patient Safety at the Las Lomas Sanatorium and a professor at several universities, including the University of Buenos Aires and the Catholic University of Argentina, where he taught high management programs in quality and safety.

Willen holds a Bachelor of Nursing degree, with additional studies in Lean Management, Patient Safety, and Process Improvement. His focus on team development and passion for teaching make him an outstanding leader in continuous improvement within the healthcare field.

Facundo Erreguerena

Commercial Director

He has 19 years of international experience in value creation, commercial, marketing, and transformation in the consumer goods, FMCG, services, and insurance sectors. He has developed brands and increased customer satisfaction.

He holds a degree in International Trade, a Master’s in Insurance and Risk Management from EALDE Business School, a Master’s in Marketing and Commercial Management from EADA Business School, and an advanced program in business administration and management from IESE Business School.

Monika Harel

Director of Marketing and Communications

She has more than 10 years of experience developing high-impact roles in the areas of Marketing, Communications, and Institutional Relations across various sectors nationwide, including health, telecommunications, technology, among others.

Specialized in Corporate Communication at EAE in Barcelona, she also holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the prestigious Barna Management School through a scholarship program for students with academic excellence and professional development.

Cristobal Carbajal

Chief Technology and Data Officer

With more than ten years of experience in biomedical informatics and health, Dr. Cristóbal Carvajal has played key roles in collaborating with local and multinational companies, from analyst to Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO).
He has been an advisor to the Ministry of Health of Chile and an independent consultant on digital transformation projects in the health sector.

He served as the Director of the Biomedical Informatics Center at Universidad del Desarrollo and was also a professor, researcher, and associate consultant on medical innovation projects in Latin America. Moreover, he has a Diploma in Business Management and a Master’s Degree in Health Informatics, contributing to his strong background. Dr. Carvajal is committed to the development of health informatics in the region.

Luisa Cedano

Senior Operations Manager

Luisa María Cedano Martínez is an industrial engineer who graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) with a Master’s in Business Administration and Management from Barna Business School.

She is Senior Operations Manager at the Medical Center for Diabetes, Obesity and Specialties (CEMDOE).

Her role at CEMDOE includes responsibilities in project management and traceability and coordinating the implementation of operational control systems in the services.

Nilaine Alejo

Senior Human Management Manager

Nilaine Alejo is a Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre graduate in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources. With over 13 years of experience and an MBA in business administration, she excels in human talent management, team leadership, and fostering cultural transformation in key health, insurance, and technology sectors.

As senior manager of human management, she has designed effective human talent strategies that increase staff satisfaction and implement training programs in critical skills, ensuring a well-prepared and motivated team.

Carlos De León

Senior Technology Manager

Carlos de León serves as technology manager at CEMDOE. He is a graphic design graduate of the Universidad Acción Pro Educación y Cultura (APEC). In the last 7 years, he has focused his career on the health sector, applying his experience in technological projects to improve medical care, quality, and patient safety. Certified as CPHIMS (Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems), he has a solid ability to lead technology initiatives in health environments.

His career includes collaborations with the private sector, government agencies, international organizations, and nonprofit entities, where he has developed effective strategies for implementing cutting-edge technologies in the health field.

Ramón Cruz

Senior Facilities Manager

Ramón Bueno Cruz serves as Senior Facilities Manager at CEMDOE. He graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in civil engineering and has over 8 years of experience executing civil work projects and facilities management.

Specialized in planning and managing maintenance, security, warehouse and infrastructure projects. In addition, he designed and implemented the maintenance, security, and warehouse processes, focusing on the automation and integral management of the facilities.

He collaborates in constant improvement processes and executes automated tools in 7 operational areas of CEMDOE, guaranteeing efficiency and compliance with the highest operational standards.

Erick Zacarías Verdeja

Senior Quality Manager

Erick Zacarías Verdeja is the Senior Quality Manager at the Medical Center for Diabetes, Obesity, and Specialties (CEMDOE). Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Industrial Engineer, with a master’s degree in logistics management with experience in ISO13485 and FDA-regulated processes.

His role includes implementing and overseeing the client safety and quality program. Moreover, he manages projects focused on the continuous improvement of medical services, ensuring that high standards of care are maintained at all times.

Gladylín Alcántara

Project Manager

Gladylín Alcántara Medina is a graduate of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) of industrial and organizational psychology and holds a master’s degree from the School of Business and Business Administration (ENAE) in Spain. She works as a project manager, and her duties include planning, coordinating, and supervising all aspects necessary to conduct specific CEMDOE projects.

She is a health services and human resources management professional with experience as a project management director. In addition, she is certified as a professional training instructor and has excelled over time in team management, organizational development, and improvement strategies in the health sector.
