Oncologic surgery is a medical specialty focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of both benign and malignant tumors. This surgical specialty aims to precisely remove tumors, focusing on eliminating the disease while preserving the function of the affected organs as much as possible.
Our oncology surgeons use advanced, minimally invasive techniques. They provide personalized surgical treatments based on each tumor’s specific characteristics and stage. We work closely with other specialists to provide a multidisciplinary approach for optimized outcomes and recovery.

Dr. Raul Alejandro Ubiñas Lugo
- Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery
Dr. Raúl Ubiñas specializes in general surgery, bariatric and metabolic surgery, and advanced laparoscopic procedures. He graduated from Intec University as a Doctor of Medicine and completed his concentration in Bariatric, Metabolic, and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery at CEDIMAT in collaboration with Intec.
In addition to his clinical practice, he teaches General Surgery at renowned universities such as Intec, UNIBE, UNPHU, and UASD. Currently, he serves as Head of the Surgical Block at the Center for Diabetes, Obesity, and Specialties (CEMDOE), leading the surgical team in advanced procedures.
