    CEMDOE inicia su operación hospitalaria a partir del 19 de enero, con servicios habilitados de Emergencias, UCI, Quirófanos, Hemodinamia y Hospitalización.

  • Did CEMDOE stop being an outpatient center?

    No. CEMDOE continues to offer its outpatient services, now integrating them into a more comprehensive and coordinated hospital care system.

  • What does it mean that CEMDOE is becoming a hospital?

    This means we are expanding our capacity to care for patients through more stages of their healthcare journey, from the initial consultation and diagnosis through hospitalization and recovery.

    Hemodynamics is a specialized service that enables the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases through minimally invasive procedures, using high precision and advanced technology.

  • What kinds of procedures are performed in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab?

    Cardiovascular diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures are performed as medically indicated.

  • Do hemodynamic procedures require hospitalization?

    Depending on the case, some procedures may be performed on an outpatient basis, while others may require observation or hospitalization, always at the doctor’s discretion.

  • Does CEMDOE Hospital have inpatient rooms?

    Yes. We have inpatient units designed to provide comfort, safety, and support during recovery.

  • What is the admission process for hospitalization or surgery?

    Admission is based on a doctor’s recommendation, either through the Emergency Department or on a scheduled basis, depending on the case.

  • Can scheduled surgeries be performed?

    Yes, subject to a medical evaluation and the availability of surgery slots.

  • How will I know which ARSs already have coverage?

  • How many people can visit a hospitalized patient?

    The number of visitors allowed depends on the room type, with a limit of up to 4 visitors at a time.

    These measures are intended to ensure comfort, safety, and an appropriate environment for the patient’s recovery.

  • What are the general visiting hours?

    General visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

  • Can I accompany a family member to the emergency room?

    Yes. In the Emergency Department, one visitor is allowed per cubicle, and family members may take turns.

  • Can a visitor interrupt medical care in the emergency room?

    No. Medical care and clinical decisions always take priority. The team may ask companions to leave temporarily if the situation requires it.

  • Are visitors allowed in the ICU?

    Yes, under controlled conditions and provided the patient’s clinical condition allows it.

    The following are permitted:

    1. One designated permanent caregiver, if the patient’s condition allows it.
    2. Up to 2 visitors per visit, for 20 to 30 minutes, twice a day
  • Can the medical staff limit visits to the ICU?

    Yes. The medical team may limit or suspend visits at any time, depending on the patient’s clinical condition and for safety reasons.

  • Who is not allowed to enter as a visitor?

    For safety and infection control reasons, the following are not permitted:

    1. People with respiratory symptoms.
    2. Children under 10 years of age.
    3. Flowers, food, candles, scooters, bicycles, or kick scooters.
  • How are visits handled in isolation areas?

    In isolation areas, only one visitor is permitted, subject to the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and prior authorization from the medical team.

  • ¿Está permitido tomar fotos o videos dentro del hospital?

    No. Por respeto a la privacidad y confidencialidad de los pacientes, no está permitido tomar fotos ni grabar videos dentro de las áreas hospitalarias.

  • Are video calls with the patient allowed?

    Video calls are permitted only with authorization, provided they do not interfere with medical care or the privacy of other patients.

  • Can the patient choose not to have visitors?

    Yes. The patient has the right to decide whether or not to receive visitors, and this decision will be respected at all times.
